Social Media profiles to build after you launch your website

Once your website it launched, you need to create a social media presence for your business. Follow these two basic steps towards success.

Create a Facebook Business Page

Choose a name that is the same as or as close as possible to the name of your business.  Plug in the basics such as your phone number, address, services, products, operating hours, etc.

“Brand it” with photos of your business, products, services, customers. You want to make it a living-breathing page that shows visitors what your business is all about.  The most important part is to have fun with it!

Create an Instagram profile

If you have a service business such as a hair salon, spa, or flooring business, Instagram is a great way to showcase your work. Be sure to link back to your website on your profile so people can contact you easily. When you post, use hashtags so your posts are searchable, such as, the name of the cities you service, product brand names, type of service identified in the photo, etc.

I recommend starting with these two Social sites and get them built up and running.  Later, you can add LinkedIn, Twitter, and Pinterest.  Special note: Certain types of businesses benefit greatly from having a presence on LinkedIn such as, recruiting agencies, software companies, and healthcare companies.

If after reading this, you feel overwhelmed, consider hiring an agency like mine to do this work on your behalf.

I firmly believe that we should do what we enjoy and what we are good at and hire or outsource everything else!
